This is a small town in the heart of Tuscany. It takes about 45 minutes by car. The panoramic views are gorgeous but there are a lot of winding streets. The entire town can be walked through in 15 minutes. I had to spend four hours here. Luckily, I was with my friend so the time seemed to pass faster. It was relaxing to be out of the center of Florence.

I was walking around the city center the other day and this group of people appeared out of nowhere. I have no idea what it signifies, I have no idea why they were out there doing this, but I know I really wanted to toss one of those flags... Colorguard memories anyone? :)

Above: Thinking spot before sunset when the water is perfectly still and makes the reflection in the water.
This is my thinking place. It's where I go to just stop and relax when the weather is nice. It has been so far somewhat warm for this time of the year. I'm so happy that it's not freezing outside just yet. This photo is taken along the Arno River near to the Cascine Park. It is about a 15 minute bicycle ride from my house.

I can't believe this man was just balancing on a statue... squatting at that. This picture is taken in Florence near the Piazza dellaReppublica. Original post date: 27 Nov 2009; updated on 23 Jul 2020
This blog will serve as a day to day idea of things I experience as living in Italy. Although I have had off and on experience in this country over the past three years, there is still much to be told. Things happen to me here that are "amazing." Unfortunately, this adjective has a double meaning. Occurances can be amazingly wonderful, or at times,I find myself thinking, "wow, I can't believe something like that just happened....amazing."
Luckily through faith and patience, when the negatives come along, I usually end up laughing because there is nothing you can do when in a foreign country. Most people will never understand what has gone through my head both positively and negatively. I will keep this blog as updated as possible in order to give a basic idea of what goes on.
